1) USB OTG
- Connect your phone via a USB OTG cable and accept any dialogs that appear.
2) Modo autónomo (Ver vídeo)
- Ensure that this application is set as the default for Car Mode. If prompted during the initial run, proceed to Ajustes -> Aplicaciones -> Todas las aplicaciones -> Servicios de Google Play -> Abrir de forma predeterminada -> Borrar predeterminados.
- Launch the application, choose ‘Self Mode'. Once Android Auto opens, activate Developer Mode (if it’s not already done) by repeatedly tapping the header of the application (the text that says Android Auto) and then select ‘Iniciar servidor de la unidad principal’. If your device has root access, this process will be automatic.
3) WiFi
- On your phone, create a WiFi network (sharing mobile data).
- Open Android Auto (ensure Developer Mode is enabled per connection method 2), then select ‘Iniciar servidor de la unidad principal’.
- Connect your tablet to the phone’s WiFi network.
- Launch this application on the tablet.
- If using an HTC phone, change the DEFAULT IP Address to: 192.168.1.1.
- Choose the Wifi connection method.
4) Wifi Direct (not supported by all devices)
- Start Headunit Reloaded on your tablet.
- Select Wifi Direct.
- On your phone, navigate to Settings -> WiFi -> Advanced Settings -> Wifi Direct and join the group (do not attempt to connect like a regular WiFi network, as it won't work).
- On the phone, start Android Auto (see how to enable developer mode in connection method 2, Autonomous Mode), and then select ‘Iniciar servidor de la unidad principal.'
