Demo Version Information
This application is currently in demo mode and comes with specific limitations: you will only be able to cast pre-assigned Images, Audio, and video content. Additionally, any text you cast while using this lite version will begin with "AutoCast Demo".
Control and Info
You can manage the playback of media in AutoCast as well as in other applications such as YouTube, Google Play Music, or Plex. Furthermore, you have access to information about what’s playing at any given moment, enabling you to create a remote Chromecast Controller on your computer, for instance. The opportunities here are limitless!
Custom Screens
In AutoCast, everything you cast effectively transforms into a custom screen.
Built-in screens include:
- "Full Screen Media": This option allows you to broadcast videos, photos, and audio in full screen, ensuring they are displayed beautifully. For instance, you can showcase a slideshow while simultaneously listening to the system audio from your smartphone. Alternatively, you could view a Movie through AutoCast while still receiving all your Android notifications on your TV. You can even enjoy a continuous presentation of your photos and videos.
- "Alternate Home Screen": This feature provides a display similar to the standard Chromecast home screen, yet it showcases your selected photos and permits you to add relevant information, such as current Weather conditions or whether your heating system is active. In like manner, all features available in an AutoCast screen are present here, including notification aleRTS or background music playback.
Additionally, you have the capability to cast any existing webpage you desire, provided that website permits this functionality.
My aim with AutoCast is to encourage users worldwide to create unique, wonderful custom screens that can then be easily imported into AutoCast for personal use.
Multiple Users
Due to AutoCast's ability to send messages from your Chromecast to your Android device, collaborative casting applications can be created. For example, consider a photo editing app where several users work on modifying the same image together.

Please refrain from giving the app a 1-star rating based on its non-standalone nature. Should you have made a purchase under this misconception, reach out to me for a refund.
Multiple Sources
AutoCast enables media casting from a growing array of websites and sources such as Dropbox, Vimeo, Flickr, GameTrailers, and more! For example, you could project all images from the Flickr explore page in a slideshow format. Or, you might cast a video from GameTrailers straight from your favorite RSS reader on Android.

AutoCast functions as a Tasker plugin providing comprehensive control over your Chromecast. It allows not only casting of images, audio, and video from Tasker, but also offers capabilities for casting and managing numerous local or Online contents, such as YouTube videos and playlists, notifications, voice, and even web pages! Moreover, you are permitted to take control of other applications currently being cast and regulate their playback!
