Comprehensive Feature Summary
Automated connection management
LeanDroid is capable of automatically disabling various connections such as Wi-Fi, cellular data*, cellular radios*, Bluetooth, and location services* (including networks and GPS). Additionally, it can alter cellular network types* (for instance, switching from 4G to 2G). This functionality activates when the device's screen turns off, helping to conserve battery Life and reduce data consumption when the phone is not in use.
In-Depth Feature Description
Automated connection management
LeanDroid efficiently disables connections like Wi-Fi, cellular data*, cellular radios*, Bluetooth, and location services* (GPS and networks). It also has the capability to switch between different cellular network types* (e.g., changing from 4G to 2G). This Action occurs post screen timeout, aiming to save battery power and minimize data use during non-use periods.
Disable timing settings
This feature allows users to specify the waiting period after the screen turns off before connections are disabled (premium version required).
Re-enable connections
Connections are reStored automatically once the screen is powered back on or unlocked. Users have the option to restore connections periodically while the screen remains off, facilitating push notifications and background synchronization. Only those connections disabled by LeanDroid will be re-enabled; manually disabled connections remain unaffected.
Connection restoration frequency
This setting determines how frequently to restore connections while the display is off (available in the premium version).
Wait for Wi-Fi connection before re-enabling cellular data
This delay ensures that Wi-Fi connects before reactivating cellular data, thus avoiding a brief moment where cellular data might reconnect.
Disabling exceptions
Various configurations exist to prevent certain connections from being disabled. Options under "All toggles" will halt all disconnections. Meanwhile, selections under "Specific toggles" will only protect specified connections from being disabled. If an exception is detected, LeanDroid will reevaluate after the next disable interval.
Prevent disabling if specific apps are active
Connections remain active if any of the chosen apps are Running in the foreground or utilizing foreground services. An additional option is available to monitor background services of those applications as well.
Avoid disabling Wi-Fi/Data/Network type based on activity
Data connections will not deactivate during ongoing data transfer periods. If the transfer exceeds a set rate, these connections remain enabled to avoid disrupting data-sensitive operations.
Retain Wi-Fi if login is required
Wi-Fi connections will be maintained if a Browser login is necessary (particularly common in public networks), so users don’t need to repeatedly enter pasSwords.
