The boys no longer clasp hands as they venture into the woods but instead find themselves in distinctly separate realities. One boy inhabits a strange yet wondrous land filled with primitive creatures, resembling humanity's ancient past, while the other enters a high-tech world dominated by machinery, including robotic versions of wildlife—a stark portrayal of humankind's advanced future.
